Why do I need to contact you prior to my newborn birth?
I tend to only schedule 4-6 newborn slots a month. They fill up quickly so I always tell mamas to book in advance.
Why do I need to bring my newborn in between 5-10 days?
Photographing a newborn nice and sleepy makes for beautiful images. After the 2 week mark they tend to sleep a little less. They love being warm and snuggly so that is what we will make them.
Are sessions in our home or your studio?
All newborn sessions unless a fresh 48 take place in my home studio. I can control lighting, warmth of the studio, and have a selection of props and backdrops for use. Come prepared in extra layers because it can be 80+ degrees.
Can I choose a color palette for a newborn session?
Absolutely! We will go over wardrobe, wraps, and props prior to session and you will have full use all studio wardrobe. I ask my mamas to send a picture of their nursery so I can create a custom set for the session. Give me details of what inspires you!
Do you provide wardrobe for maternity sessions?
The answer is yes! I have several gowns at the studio and they are for your use during any of the sessions. I also have childrens clothing as well.. ie matilda jane, well dressed wolf, doll cake, and several children’s boutique dresses. You may also rent a gown from mamabumprentals.com if you are looking for a particular dress that I do not carry. Have a maternity dress that you no longer want to keep? Ask me about print credits if you were to trade your dress in to Bella Blue.
What is your average turnaround time on galleries?
My average turnaround time is 2 weeks for all sessions other than weddings. During fall months it can take as long as three weeks. Turnaround time for a wedding is roughly 8-10 weeks.
How long will my gallery be live?
Once your session is complete I will cull and shoftproof your gallery for viewing. You will receive your gallery and then choose your images. I will then professionally hand edit your images. I will upload them to your own shootproof gallery for viewing. You will have 5 business days to view and share your images. You will click on the top right hand DOWNLOAD button to download all your images. Once you download your zip file to your computer you must extract files. If you purchased a package with a certain amount purchased you will click on the favorites button and then I will send you a link to download the chosen images once they are edited. There will be a $20 service charge to reactivate your gallery after the 6th day.
Can my images be used in any marketing or advertisements?
Bella Blue Photography holds all rights to images and any images captured during a session can be used in marketing or advertising of any kind.
